Notes

Went down the slope, through the fence and into the very large main workings via a steep slope. This led onto another steep slope with a handline. We spiraled down some more before reaching a drop where we took a shortcut into a level.

We then followed 3 ladders with a dodgey platform part way down (too dodgey for Byron) who remained above before exploring the lower levels. There's a huge open working here, but unless you take a ladder ftom elsewhere in the mine, you won't be able get up a sheer wall of dirt.

We then exited and investigated another ladderway on the surface, which was a bit too dodgey so we roped. This led onto concrete platforms in daylight. Spits if we had any would have let us descend further (it looked a long way down). Finally we descended a ladder way whilst roped in the other direction, which connected with the top of the steep slope, allowing a through trip.
